Madhya Pradesh: Gas Tanker Driving On Wrong Side Collides With 2 Vehicles; 7 Killed, 3 Injured

A gas tanker rammed two four-wheelers on the Badnawar-Ujjain road in Madhya Pradesh, killing seven people and injuring three more. The incident took place at around 11 PM on Wednesday near Bamansuta village in the Dhar district. The tanker was said to be moving on the wrong side of the road and hit a car and a jeep that were moving from the opposite direction.

Four people died on the spot, and three others died in hospital due to injuries, as reported by Dhar SP, Manoj Kumar Singh. Three more people sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in a hospital in the neighbouring Ratlam district. The victims were from Ratlam, Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), and Jodhpur (Rajasthan).

In the aftermath of the Madhya Pradesh gas tanker crash, local villagers and officials reached the site to help with the rescue operations. Rescuers were able to remove people stuck inside the wrecked vehicles using a crane. Officials also went to the site to coordinate the rescue operation.

Witnesses told of the violent impact of the collision, saying that the cars were totally distorted. Emergency workers toiled throughout the night, clearing the debris and making the road safe for others.

The owner of the gas tanker escaped from the scene of the accident. The police are investigating the reasons as to why the tanker was positioned on the incorrect side of the road. Government authorities are expected to initiate stern action against the people who were responsible for the accident.
