With just the last few days of the Maha Kumbh left, millions of devotees are heading to Prayagraj to attend the spiritual mela. To accommodate the massive influx of devotees, Northern Railways has announced a special Vande Bharat train service between New Delhi and Varanasi via Prayagraj. These trains will run on February 15, 16, and 17, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

For the convenience of the millions of pilgrims heading to Maha Kumbh Mela to take a holy bath, Northern Railways has decided to run Vande Bharat Special train between New Delhi and Varanasi. These trains will run via Prayagraj and will facilitate a comfortable journey for those who are planning to visit the world’s largest spiritual gathering.

Vande Bharat Special train no. 02252/02251 will run two trains on February 15, 16, and 17. Here’s what the train schedule looks like –

1. Vande Bharat Special Train no. 02252 – to depart from New Delhi at 5:30 AM (via Prayagraj at 12 PM) to reach Varanasi at 2:20 PM.
2. Vande Bharat Special Train no. 02251 – will depart from Varanasi at 3:15 PM (via Prayagraj at 5:20 PM) and arrive at New Delhi at 11:50 PM.

Record-Breaking Turnout At The Spiritual Mela

According to Business Standard, the Uttar Pradesh administration has revealed that the Maha Kumbh has become the first event in the world to have more than 50 crore direct participants. To get a better understanding, this number even exceeds the population of countries like the United States, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

As per the local administration, 1.7 crore devotees took a holy snan on Paush Purnima, followed by 3.5 crore on Makar Sankranti, 7.64 crore on Mauni Amavasya, 2.57 crore on Basant Panchami, and 1.4 crore on Magh Purnima.
