The news of Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of late American billionaire Steve Jobs, is making buzz on the Internet. The news of her arrival and participation in holy Hindu rituals grabbed everyone’s attention. Her visit to the sacred city in Uttar Pradesh shattered a 93-year-old record of the Prayagraj Airport. The airport saw its first international flight in 93 years for Laurene.
According to a report by The Times of India, she reached Prayagraj by travelling on a Bhutan Airways flight. After spending time at the historical event and performing rituals, she boarded the same aircraft to return to Bhutan. This highlighted the first international flight operation at Prayagraj Airport in the last 93 years.
The recent news of Powell’s visit to the Kumbh Mela and shattering an old record to create history is surely a significant feat and historic moment for the airport in Uttar Pradesh.
On this religious journey, Laurene could not take a dip in the Ganga River this time. Due to health-related issues, she could not perform this ritual.
Renowned Personalities Grace Their Presence At The Mela
Politicians, singers, and eminent personalities are heading to Prayagraj to attend the iconic Kumbh Mela. In the last two weeks, celebrities from nationwide and abroad travelled here to perform traditions at the religious gathering.
Gautam Adani attended the Maha Kumbh Mela with his family. Guru Randhawa, Remo D’Souza, Anupam Kher, and Mamta Kulkarni are among many celebrities spotted at the devotional venue.
