Uber Partnered With AAI To Boost Connectivity During Maha Kumbh 2025
On January 15, Uber announced its collaboration with AAI at Prayagraj Airport in Uttar Pradesh. With this partnership, the ride-hailing platform aims to boost the connectivity and travel experiences of pilgrims. Uber will provide simple transportation facilities for lakhs and crores of devotees visiting the sacred city. It is an innovative initiative to offer an easy transition from air travel to the ground and cater to the demands of around 40 crores of travellers all set to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Uber signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India in April 2023. The ride-hailing company is providing seamless travel experiences to 20 AAI airports and meeting the demands of ever-growing passenger footfall everywhere. These services play a key role in easing people’s journeys during grand and crowded events.
Uber will offer a discount of 25 per cent up to ₹200 for journeys from Prayagraj Airport, according to a press release. The platform will have separate pickup zones at the airport supported by on-ground assistance. In addition, there will be clear wayfinding signage to help travellers reach these zones from the terminals. Interested people can easily book rides using the Uber app.
