Maha-Metro Launches ‘One Pune Card’

The “One Pune Card” complies with the requirements of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) of the nation and may be used in any other metro and bus services in India, claim Maha-Metro officials.

It is intended to give metro commuters a smooth experience. The card is free for the first 5,000 travelers; everyone else must pay ₹150 plus 18% tax.

The card, which is offered at metro stations, is based on the Indian Payments (RuPay) system and complies with the standards established by the Indian government for NCMC. There is no need for a PIN for transactions under ₹5,000.

Reduction On Ticket Rates

Public relations officer, Maha-Metro, Hemant Sonawane, explained how people can get their ‘One Card Pune’. To obtain the card, which is available at metro stations, passengers must complete the online form on the Pune Metro website. All Pune Card members are eligible for a 10% reduction on ticket rates at the Pune Metro.

The integration of sophisticated prepaid and metro card services has been made possible by a partnership with a large bank, facilitating both payments and travel.

The card will make it easier for commuters to travel anywhere on the Metro without having to worry about purchasing a ticket each time. Devendra Fadnavis encouraged Maha-Metro, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) to make sure they utilized this for all public transportation in the ensuing days as part of integrated transportation. (As per Hindustan Times)
