“Maine Sabse Zyaada Dating Delhi Zoo Mein Ki Hai,” Rajesh Tailang Remembers His Dating Days

Rajesh Tailang

Rajesh Tailang wowed us with his performance as Radhe’s father, Rajendra in the hit musical drama Bandish Bandits. So, of course we had to get all the deets from the man himself about his acting journey, his food and travel preferences and much more. On our new episode of Tere Gully Mein, we explored the gullies of Delhi’s iconic Bengali Market with Rajesh Tailang who graciously even remembered his dating days with us.

Rajesh Tailang Went On Dates To Delhi Zoo

Rajesh Tailang’s filmography is as vibrant as his personality. For a gangster drama like Mirzapur, he has the award-winning Delhi Crime and away from the two shows, leaning into the romcom genre, he has Bandish Bandits. While speaking to us, Rajesh Tailang remembered his dating as a Delhiite. He shares that during his young adult days, the capital didn’t have many suitable places for people wanting to go on dates.

“Maine sabse zyaada dating Delhi Zoo mein ki hai (I’ve gone on most dates to Delhi Zoo),” Tailang shares leaving us surprised. “Poora din ghum sakte ho, baith sakthe ho, baatein kar sakte ho, kuch kuch khaa sakte ho. (You can roam around, sit, talk and even eat snacks).” Today, there are malls and cafes to take your date to. But those days, Delhi didn’t have any of these. The weather and affordability of restaurants made it challenging for the Mirazpur actor to go on dates.

He Faced Many Heart Breaks

Of course, we couldn’t help asking him what he feels about today’s dating culture of benching, ghosting and hookups. The actor candidly revealed that this was present even in his young adult days but sans the terminologies. Even he was ghosted once. But he preferred to handle things with dignity. Rajesh Tailang even said that he has had his heart broken many times. We love these candid confessions! Perhaps that’s where he draws inspiration for the angst that his character Rajendra feels in Bandish Bandits.
