The Blonde Roast is Starbucks’ lighter take on espresso. Made from 100% Arabica beans sourced from Latin America and East Africa, this roast is gently roasted to bring out a smoother body and a hint of citrus. It’s especially great if you like milk-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites.

Plus, if you enjoy plant-based milk like oat or almond, this roast blends beautifully with them, bringing out their natural sweetness. So if you’ve ever thought espresso was too intense for you, now’s the time to try something lighter, smoother, and more versatile.

To celebrate this new roast and the monsoon vibes, Starbucks has launched two amazing limited-time drinks made with the Blonde Espresso. They’re comforting, creative, and perfect for rainy-day coffee dates.

• Pecan Iced Shaken Espresso

This chilled drink starts with a double shot of Blonde Espresso, shaken with ice and a pecan-flavoured syrup. Then it’s topped with creamy oat milk. The result is a refreshing, nutty treat with a touch of cinnamon. It’s smooth, slightly sweet, and feels like a chilled dessert in a cup.

• Date Cortado

This warm drink is rich and comforting. It features a ristretto shot (a short, concentrated espresso made with the Blonde Roast), steamed milk, and a special date-flavoured sauce. It’s topped with some date powder, for a smooth and slightly sweet taste in every sip.

To mark the launch of the Blonde Roast, Starbucks India is celebrating Blonde Roast Day on July 5 at select stores.
