Superstar Mohanlal recently visited India’s 1st Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), soon to be commissioned as Vikrant, and expressed his gratitude for the same. On Thursday, the Malayalam actor toured the made-in-India aircraft carrier with filmmaker Major Ravi. The actor even took to Instagram on Saturday to share glimpses from his tour onboard the “true engineering marvel”. The upcoming IAC Vikrant further fortifies the Indian Navy and showcases India’s shipbuilding capabilities and it was truly amazing to see Mohanlal appreciate the beauty of it all.
Superstar Mohanlal Received A Warm Reception
On Saturday, Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal shared on his social media handles about being honored to be on-board India’s first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier. He went for the visit to the Cochin Shipyard with actor Major Ravi, who is also a retired officer of the Indian Army. Mohanlal was in awe of the 13 long years of dedication that went behind Vikrant. He also went ahead to thank the officers at the Cochin Shipyard for their warm welcome. In a long heartfelt Instagram caption, Mohanlal wrote, “Honoured to be onboard India’s 1st Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), soon to be commissioned as Vikrant, built in Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kerala. After 13 long years of dedicated construction, she sets sail as a true engineering marvel that further fortifies the Indian Navy and speaks volumes about India’s shipbuilding capabilities.
Speaking about the warm welcome at the shipyard, Mohanlal added,” I express my heartfelt gratitude for this matchless opportunity, especially to the Commanding Officer, Commodore Vidhyadhar Harke, VSM, and Mr. Madhu Nair, the Chairman & Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited, for their warm reception. Witnessing the unmatched peculiarities of this mean machine urges me to triumphantly salute all the people behind IAC Vikrant, the wonder. Superstar Mohanlal, by recently visiting the made-in-India Aircraft Vikrant, has pulled the attention of a lot of netizens to the engineering marvel. The aircraft carrier is built at a cost of around Rs 20,000 crore. Vikrant is 262 meters long, 62 meters wide, and has a height of 59 meters. The construction of the IAC began in 2009 and recently in July, the Indian Navy took delivery of the aircraft carrier from its manufacturer, Cochin Shipyard Ltd. IAC Vikrant is all set to be commissioned into the force this month. And like superstar Mohanlal, we too hope for her to always be victorious at the sea!
