Recently, the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry invited Team India to celebrate this special moment.
Maldives Shared A Special Message For Team India & Invited Them
Men in Blue lifted the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy defeating South Africa by 7 runs. Since Team India’s triumph on June 29, everyone has been celebrating the ICC win. Now, the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) joined hands with the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and extended an invitation to Team India. They released a statement about this open invite too.
Ibrahim Shiuree, MMPRC CEO and Managing Director, and Ahmed Nazeer, MATI Secretary General, revealed their wish to welcome the world champions in Maldives and host them. According to a report by Free Press Journal, they are looking forward to welcoming Team India to the Maldives. Ibrahim Shiuree shared that it will be an immense honour for the country.
In the statement, the MMPRC CEO & Managing Director and MATI Secretary-General stated that this special invitation to host the cricketers also symbolises cultural and sporting bonds between both countries. The international nation is eagerly waiting for the opportunity to welcome Team India and offer great experiences to celebrate its T20 World Cup victory.

The World Champions Landed In India On Thursday
Hurricane Beryl in Barbados delayed Team India’s return to home after the World Cup tournament. They extended their stay overseas and finally landed in Delhi on July 4. On that day, the team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and later joined lakhs of cricket fans at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium to celebrate the win. The grandest victory parade and victory lap were organised to welcome the team in Mumbai.
