Man Airlifted In Ras Al Khaimah After He Falls From The Mountain!

People who are seeking adventure don’t mind taking a hike in the mountains. It’s a rather pleasant way for them to spend the time as they love to take in the beauty of the mountains after a good climb. However, the fun of this hike does not allude to the fact that it is riddled with dangers. Especially as one can easily slip on any of the rocks and fall from the cliff. Something similar happened to a man in Ras Al Khaimah. He fell from a mountain and had to be airlifted to hospital. Here’s more on this!

As reported by the Gulf News, a man was grievously injured after he fell from a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah. To rescue the man, the National Search & Rescue Centre of the National Guard cooperated with the Ras Al Khaimah Police. During the rescue operation, they carried out a swift medical evacuation mission. This service was promptly given after they received the report of his fall. Once the report was received, the search and rescue team was dispatched to the site. Following the rescue, he was taken to the Saqr Hospital.

As it happens, the video of the rescue was uploaded by the official account of the National Guard on Instagram, which showed the helicopter carrying the injured man. This is, however, not the first time the first time a person has been rescued from the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah. Earlier this year, a group of seven hikers were rescued by the specialised team. This rescue happened after they lost their way in the Wadi Shehah. They were rescued by the Ras Al Khaimah Police. And while they were in stable condition, one of them had lost consciousness due to extreme exhaustion. He was later airlifted to safety before being transferred to the hospital.

It is, therefore, advisable for adventure seekers to notify the authorities before they head out on a major expedition. This allows in aiding the teams to help in the rescue missions in case of any mishaps.
