According to an article which was recently published by Times Now or TN, the man was identified as one Tushar Pawar. He is 33 years old, lives in Satara and is a business owner. He was heading to Bangkok on an Air India flight numbered AI-330 and was going through routine checks when officials noticed something fishy.

Aastha Mithal, an official from the Immigration Bureau, noticed that his passport had a lot of discrepancies. Upon further inspection, it was found that he had replaced a total of 12 stamped pages from the passport and replaced them with blank ones.

When he was interrogated, he admitted to tampering with the passport and altering it to mislead his wife. He did not want his wife to know that he had been travelling frequently to Thailand with his friends. He took a trip there in 2023 and 2024 respectively and altered his passport to conceal this fact.
