amul worms buttermilk.

It’s quite concerning to come across posts and videos online of insects, maggots and even rats found inside sealed food packets. From a dead rat found inside a bottle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup to an entire human finger discovered in a Yummo’s ice cream cone, there has been a litany of nightmarish experiences. And now news comes of a man finding worms inside a packet of Amul protein buttermilk.

Worms In Sealed Amul Buttermilk Package Angers Customer

Gajender Yadav took to his X (former Twitter) handle to raise awareness about a contaminated packet of Amul buttermilk. In his post, he shared pictures and videos of white-coloured worms crawling out of Amul buttermilk packets. He posted a video of worms crawling in a carton filled with buttermilk tetra paks. Another picture shows a cut-open packet of buttermilk with worms peeking out of it.

Tagging Amul Coop’s X handle, the man urged his followers to stop purchasing products from the company. He stated that Amul sent him worms with his high-protein buttermilk. Calling it incredibly disappointing, this incident made Gajendra have serious concerns about the quality and safety of their products. In his Twitter thread, he mentions that on opening the buttermilk packets, he smelled a bad odour emitting from them. To help his followers, he posted a batch number.

Company Gives Refund; Netizens Worried For Their Well-Being

Later, he mentioned that a person from the Amul Kanpur team called and apologised to him. They issued a refund to him and offered to send him a replacement. For which, Gajendra politely refused. The team stated that the reason for the contamination could be the delay caused by the dispatching team. Netizens also stated in the comments section that ordering milk products online wasn’t a good idea.
Another jokingly told him to look at the bright side as the protein content was still present in the buttermilk— in the form of maggots. Perhaps, he asked for veg protein and he got non-veg protein instead. There were worms present in the sealed carton itself. Netizens were concerned about their health after seeing his post.
