Vande Bharat trains are among the new generation of Indian Railways. Equipped with top-class facilities, onboard catering and rotating seats, these trains are known for their semi-high speed. But did you know using any of these facilities without buying a ticket is an offence? Also, you can be fined! A man at Bhopal Railway Station had to pay this fine for using the toilet in Vande Bharat Express.
Man Was Fined For Using Vande Bharat Toilet!
In an unusual event that was reported from Madhya Pradesh, a man had to pay ₹6,000 for making the “mistake” of urinating in the Vande Bharat Express train’s toilet. The incident happened at Bhopal Railway Station.
The man was waiting to board the Dakshin Express train to Hyderabad with his family. However, he needed to go to the toilet. The man identified as Abdul Kadir boarded the Vande Bharat Express to use the lavatory on the train rather than use the toilet at the train station.
The subsequent events turned his life in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli area into a nightmare. Moments after boarding, the Vande Bharat train departed from the station, locking the man. He was terrified by this and urged the police and railway workers to halt the train but to no avail.

Once the train began to move, the automatic Vande Bharat train gates closed. His ordeal began at this point. The Vande Bharat TTE fined Kadir ₹1020 in addition to the cost of the ticket to Ujjain.
He Had To Pay A Total Of ₹6000
In order to return to Bhopal station and reunite with his family, he once more spent ₹700 to ₹800. The occurrence happened on July 15. He also missed the train he was supposed to take with his family. Further, he suffered losses of ₹3,000 to ₹4000. He was obliged to pay a total of ₹6,000 for his lack of initiative in not using the loo at the train station.
In response to Abdul’s claims, Subedar Singh, the PRO of the Bhopal Railway Division, said that, before the Vande Bharat train departs, an announcement is made outlining which way the doors will open and that the doors are locked. This safety measure is in place to safeguard the safety of the passengers and prevent mishaps.
