Large Amount Of Palm Oil In Kwality Wall’s Vanilla Frozen Dessert
Shreyaan Daga took to Instagram to share his experience with a Kwality Wall’s product recently. In a now-viral video, he shows that he left Kwality Wall’s Vanilla frozen dessert unopened in the freezer overnight. In the morning, when he opened the pack, the ice cream was still intact and frozen in the pack. However, he saw a little oily substance in the ice cream cup. When he tilted and poured the contents out of the cup, he saw a large amount of palm oil pouring out of it.
The surprisingly large amount of palm oil in such a small ice cream cup left him baffled and he tagged Kwality Wall’s on the post and asked them to “Please solve this” issue. In response, the brand responded in the comments section and asked him to connect with them over DM.
Now, it is important to notice that Shreyaan Daga repeatedly calls the product in question vanilla ice cream in the video. Kwality Wall’s has maintained that their products are ‘frozen desserts’ and not ‘ice cream’. While brands use milk to make ice cream, frozen desserts are made with palm oil or other hydrogenated oils. However, the large quantity of oil in the Kwality Wall’s Vanilla frozen dessert is quite concerning.
