We all dress up nicely whenever we go out to eat. We always want to make a day out of it. But whenever we go out to eat at a 5-star restaurant, the glam factor goes up. It is sort of a given that weā€™re supposed to dress up appropriately for a luxurious place. There are a few more sets of etiquettes everyone is expected to follow. However, these unsaid rules arenā€™t the factors to govern our lives. Sometimes, we just need to be ourselves and not pretend, even a little bit.

A social experience conducted by a Mumbai influencer Siddhesh Lokare stood on the same grounds. Watch the whole thing yourself!

Mumbai-Influencer Paid Bill At Taj In Coins

To ditch the stereotypical standards and do his own thing, this man decided to have a meal at Mumbaiā€™s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. But mind you, he didnā€™t have big bucks. That certainly didnā€™t stop him. He suited up nicely and headed into the restaurant.

Siddhesh documented his experience at the restaurant and the video has been making rounds all over social media. Ragda Puri which is commonly sold in the streets of Maharashtra for ā‚¹50 was priced at ā‚¹800 at the restaurant.

That didnā€™t stop him either and he went on to order a pizza with a mocktail. While he wasnā€™t really impressed with the taste, he asked for the cheque. What came next has us all in splits. With his confidence level at its peak, he proceeded to pull out a bag of coins and started counting them to pay the bill. The act definitely caught the attention of people sitting around. People over the Internet have opinions about it too.

The server came to collect the payment and told him he needed to count it. Siddhesh commented ā€˜National Union Chillar Partyā€™Ā  and made the shocked server smile.

The influencer made the intention of this incident clear by stating that he wanted to embrace the rawness behind the decorum we all maintain all our lives.

While some on the Internet found it unusual, others had strong opinions.

Here Are Some Of The Comments That Caught Our Eye:

ā€œTrust me bro I work in ITC. you actually helped them by giving chillar. We run out of change so fast during the operation. And we donā€™t care how our customers pay what we care about is is our customer are satisfied or not. šŸ˜ƒ,ā€ said one.
ā€œAs per Indian laws, youā€™re not allowed to pay, through coins, where the payment exceeds INR 1K,ā€ wrote another.
One said, ā€œItna confidence chaiye bus.ā€
ā€œAverage Guy in Mathematics Equation,ā€ wrote another.
So, where does your opinion stand on this?
