Method:

  1. Wash and soak 7-8 ripe mangoes for 2-3 hours. After soaking, take out the pulp from these mangoes and also add 3 chopped raw mangoes to the pulp. Grind it to form a smooth puree.
  2. Heat a pan and pour the mango puree into it. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir continuously until the mixture becomes translucent.
  3. Once done, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to balance the sweetness. Strain the mixture through a strainer to remove any fibrous bits, and then transfer it into a jar. Add 1 cup of water to the jar and mix well to create the Frooti base.
  4. In a large jar, pour a generous amount of ice cubes to chill the cocktail. Next, pour in 750 ml of vodka to give the cocktail a kick of alcohol. Add the prepared mango base mixture to the jar and stir well to combine the flavours. Finally, add 2 and 1/2 litres of tonic water to the jar and stir again to mix everything together.
  5. For an added touch of flavour and presentation, you can make a rim of black salt and red chilli powder on the glass before pouring in the cocktail. Garnish each glass with a slice of raw mango to add a pop of colour and freshness.
  6. Serve the Mango Frooti Cocktail chilled.
