Giving a roundup of travel trends of UAE residents in 2023 and predictions for 2024, the report highlights of the most popular destinations for residents in the previous year. As it happens, Manila has come up on the top spot for travellers from the UAE.
Manila Is The Top Most Visited Destination By UAE Travellers
Manila in the Philippines, which offers a blissful amalgamation of cultural attractions, modern amenities, and rich history, has taken the top spot for travellers from the UAE in 2023. Featuring historical landmarks, such as the Walled City of Intramuros and delicious street food items, the capital city has been cherished by travellers from the UAE. As it happens, in the report by Skyscanner, it was also mentioned that Cairo has emerged as the second most popular destination in 2023. This destination is famous for the Pyramid of Giza and its overall vibrant atmosphere. It is another popular spot for travellers from the UAE.
What Were Some Of The Cheapest Destinations Preferred By Travellers?
Travel trends also showed that in the previous year, UAE travellers opted for budget-friendly destinations that delivered on the cultural front and offered delicious cuisine. According to the data, Ankara, the capital of Turkey had been one of the cheapest flight destinations. While Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala, India was the cheapest city for a three-star hotel stay.

Predictions For 2024 For UAE Travellers
According to the predictions for 2024, travellers are expected to plan trips for budget-friendly cities. These cities should ideally offer delightful cuisine, landmark attractions, and of course great weather. As a result, Osaka in Japan is currently emerging as the top trending destination for the year. Not to mention, in the new year, UAE travellers are also expected to head abroad to see their favourite artists perform! Yes, 38% of the fans mentioned that they were ready to take short-haul flights to see their favourite stars perform live.
