5 New Parking Lots At Mecca Entrance
To ensure people have a seamless experience of visiting Mecca, the preparation for the establishment of five parking lots at the entrance of Mecca has been finalised. Yes, this was announced by the Holy Capital Secretariat, and the preparations have been made by the Operations & Maintenance Agency as the Hajj season of 1444 approaches. As it happens, the aim is to accommodate vehicles, as a part of the strategic plan to reduce automobile entry into Mecca and the holy sites. According to a report by Gulf News, these parking lots, which cover a cumulative area of 1.88 million square meters, have been strategically located at the entrance of Mecca. As a result, it’s safe to say that this has been done to mitigate congestion inside the holy city.

The Parking Lots To Have A Capacity Of 50,000 Cars
Talking about its capacity, it can house 50,000 vehicles. As a result, this makes the new parking lots a great addition to the logistical framework of the city. It is expected that with the establishment of the parking lots, there will be a smooth, orderly, and spiritual Hajj experience for the pilgrims. In fact, besides the parking lot, other facilities are also being developed. These include complexes for government departments and even waiting halls for pilgrims and restrooms.
So, with the Hajj season nearly here, this strategic development is bound to make a smoother religious pilgrimage for devotees.
