They are our inspiration and encourage millions to achieve their goals. Recently, Kaamya Karthikeyan, a 16-year-old girl surprised the entire world by summiting the mighty Mount Everest.

Kaamya Karthikeyan Is The Youngest Indian To Scale Mount Everest From Nepal Side

Taking to X, Western Naval Command (@IN_WNC) shared about the father-daughter duo’s incredible experience.

We feel extremely proud to share the fantastic accomplishment of this 16-year-old girl. She wrote history by becoming the youngest ever Indian to summit the highest peak in the world from the Nepal side. Also, she currently holds the record for becoming the second-youngest girl in the entire world to scale Mount Everest from the Nepal side.

Kaamya was on this iconic journey with her father, Cdr S Karthikeyan. It was on May 20 when the father-daughter duo completed their exciting journey and reached the highest peak at a height of 8849 metres. Her achievement is exceptional and indeed a dream come true. But her companion, her father surely made this challenging journey more special.

SpokespersonNavy (@indiannavy) congratulated the 16-year-old mountaineer and praised her “immense courage & fortitude in summiting the highest peaks in six of the seven continents”. Mountaineers of different age groups and from all around the world dream of reaching the peak. Many complete this difficult expedition to attain their goals every year. Now, Kaamya just added her name to the grand list of successful adventurers summiting the highest peak.

What’s Her Next Goal?

Schrödinger (@thewittynoise) shared about the youngest Indian to summit Mt Everest from the Nepal side.

Kaamya’s next mission is to complete the 7 Summits Challenge by climbing the Mount Vinson Massif in Antarctica. A Navy spokesperson recently stated that she plans to join this adventurous journey this December, according to a report by Telegraph India. The teenager dreams of being the youngest girl to complete the 7summits challenge.
