Indian singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan hardly needs an introduction. And Malgudi, the co-founded restaurant, is also equally famous. Now, this insanely famous restaurant has finally landed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Curly Tales dropped by the new restaurant and was greeted by the man himself on the latest episode of In Your Neighbourhood. He tells how several other Bollywood celebrities also dropped by the restaurant.

Shankar Mahadevan Mentions The Singers Who Visited Malgudi

Shankar Mahadevan, on the latest episode of In Your Neighbourhood, talked about many topics. From his childhood memories to his picks at Malgudi, there were many things he talked about. In fact, he goes on to mention how many of his industry friends also dropped by at Malgudi. He reveals, “A lot of my friends had come. The great Javed Akhtar and Shabana ji came. Boman Irani came along with his family, Sonu Nigam, Saleem and Sulaiman came. All the young singers like Pratibha Singh, Anusha Mani, and Harsdeep Kaur came. So, a whole set of musicians had come here, and we had a music jam.”

He Talks About Must-Try Dishes at the Restaurant

Talking further about his schedule this time, he mentions how it was hectic. But normally, when he does come to Dubai, he keeps time for shopping. During the conversation, he talked about many things and even about the kind of food he ate while growing up in Mumbai. In fact, he goes on to talk about how involved he is with the restaurant, saying creating food is like creating music; it’s always a challenge.

He also mentioned five must-try dishes at Malgudi, and they were Mulbagal Dosa, Cold Coffee With Jaggery & Ghee, Benne Dosa, Kaki Sheera, and Sri Lankan Curry With Idiyappam.
