Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has once again come to the rescue, true to its capabilities. As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, in less than eight minutes, it rescued a car that plunged into the Khalid Lagoon, which is opposite the Sharjah Court House, on Thursday morning, which was May 14th. This incident occurred at 7:04 AM. Luckily, the incident happened when marine rescue personnel were carrying out a routine morning security patrol. Rescue teams quickly spotted the vehicle falling into the water and immediately rushed to the scene. After this, a rapid emergency response operation aimed at saving the driver was carried out.
Sharjah Civil Defence Rescues The Driver
During the rescue, a specialised rescue driver managed to reach the driver and pull him out of the submerged vehicle in just minutes. This highlights the high-level of preparedness, professionalism, and operational readiness of the rescue teams. Moreover, Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has also said that the swift rescue reflects the effectiveness of the continuous field training and the authority’s commitment towards maintaining the highest level of readiness when it comes to handling emergency incidents.

The Driver Was Reported To Be In Good Condition
Officials have also stressed that rapid response and ongoing training of field personnel are essential elements towards strengthening public safety systems and protecting lives. The driver was then handed over to the national ambulance team at the scene. He was reported to be in good condition and was given the necessary medical care.
