As India celebrates Diwali in just a few days, the Indian community in the UAE is also in for some brilliant festive celebrations. Especially talking about those that are expected to unfold at the landmark Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. Yes, as revealed in a report by the National News, The BAPS Hindu Mandir, which is usually closed on Mondays, will remain open on October 20th. This way, people will be able to come to the temple to offer their Diwali prayers.

BAPS Abu Dhabi to Welcome Thousands Of Visitors

The temple will remain open for Diwali Puja from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM on October 20th, and worshippers and visitors will be able to come for a visit until 9 PM. Diwali, which is celebrated as the Festival of Light by Hindus, signifies the start of a New Year. However, there are strict guidelines in place in order to manage the people and traffic on busy festival days.

Mandatory To Make Registrations Online

Yes, one will have to make mandatory online registrations. They wish to visit the temple. Each person will then have to individually register so that they can receive a QR code along with an entry pass, as mentioned in the same report. This will be verified against an identification card or document. People will not be allowed to enter if they cannot produce the registration details.

With the festivities starting on October 18th at the temple, Diwali prayers will begin on October 20th at 7:30 AM. While on Wednesday, which is October 22nd, meals will be offered to the gods by worship, which is part of the tradition called Annakut.

They Won The International Audio Visual Award

The National News also mentioned how the BAPS Hindu mandir recently received an international audio visual award. This was for an immersive film, which captured the exhaustive planning of the first-hand-carved shrine. This was built on the land, which was gifted by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the craftsmanship is no less than a masterpiece, with elaborate structures created painstakingly by artisans. The Fairy tale, which is a 12-minute film, can be seen by visitors before they enter the temple.
