Abu Dhabi’s most-awaited festival has made a comeback for the 2025-26 season. The opening night of Sheikh Zayed Festival was bewitching.  This season officially kicked off on November 1st. The first day itself attracted around 30,000 visitors in Abu Dhabi. This annual event runs through the cooler months. Visitors can expect a reflection of the perfect mix of culture, creativity, and family fun

Sheikh Zayed Festival Opens in Abu Dhabi With Heritage, Innovation And 30,000 Attendees!

According to a report by Gulf News, the festival ground buzzed with energy as visitors entered the event gate. From families to tourists and culture enthusiasts explored interactive art shows, folk performances, and light installations. The opening night truly captured the festival’s essence in Al Watbha, where a space with Emirati traditions meets modern innovation.

The event hosts multiple stages for live performances of local and international folk troupes. Along with performances, run the themed pavilions that display the craftsmanship and cuisine of cultures from across the globe. 

Step Into Al Wathba Winterland

The brand new Al Wathba Winterland is set to become a crowd-puller this year. Picture an amusement park designed for all ages. You’ll be greeted with haunted houses, bowling alleys, roller coasters and even an ice-skating rink. Also, you satiate your adrenaline; there’s a dinosaur park to enjoy prehistoric excitement. If you like to keep things low, there’s a state-of-the-art cinema powered by VR and AI technologies to experience immersive entertainment.

Global Tastes And Encounters

It’s pretty impossible to miss out on Al Wathba Boulevard when you visit the Sheikh Zayed Festival. Expect international restaurants, Emirati-owned cafés, and pop-ups. 

There’s also a Rare Species Reserve for people who love to observe unique animals.  And this year, you’ll see many new International Pavilions bringing in traditional handicrafts to cultural performances.
