As Ramadan is just around the corner, Abu Dhabi has finally completed its wide-ranging preparation for public services. Revealed in a report of the Gulf News, these preparations don’t just include public services but also extend to cultural life and community programmes, before Ramadan 2026 begins. Here’s all you need to know about this development coming in from Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Completes Ramadan Preparations

Government bodies and civic institutions recently announced in a report from the Gulf News that they have completed a series of initiatives and events. These are a part of the ongoing efforts for strengthening the values of compassion, social cohesion, and solidarity throughout the holy month. The programmes are designed in such a way that they promote the spiritual and cultural essence of the season. Moreover, they also offer a wide range of experiences that are perfect for people of all ages who come from different backgrounds.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Completes Operational Preparations

As it happens, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has also completed its operational preparations. It aims to welcome growing numbers of worshippers and visitors throughout the month. All the entrances will be opened so that there is smooth access. This includes the main gate, which faces the Arabian Gulf Street, and additional gates will also be open so that there is easy movement and crowds can be managed. Several measures have also been undertaken so that they provide a safe and comfortable environment for a spiritually calm experience for attendees visiting for day and night prayers.

What Does The Preperations At The Mosque Include?

Pedestrian access has also been enhanced to allow smoother entry and exit. This is a part of a plan to manage increasing visiting numbers. As revealed by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, mosques across the capital have also been fully prepared. For instance, carpets have been replaced in several locations, along with maintenance work that is being carried out, and facilities are also being upgraded to improve the experience for worshippers.

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has also decorated streets across the capital. This has been done to eliminate geometric designs that are inspired by Ramadan traditions. Public parks and open spaces are also being set so that they can host cultural, social, and family-friendly events throughout the whole month.
