As a result, he established the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media. With this establishment of the new department, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi was appointed as its Chairman. Here is all you need to know about this big development coming in from Ajman, and what this department will be responsible for.

Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture And Media Launched

As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, Ajman has just established the new Department of Tourism, Culture and Media. This will replace the Ajman Department of Tourism Development and the Ajman Culture and Media Department. As a result, it will be assuming their rights and obligations. The financial allocation for the 2025 government budget will now also be transferred to this new department.

As per the law, all the employees in the former two departments will also be transferred to the newly created one. So, their financial entitlements, which already existed, remain preserved and without any prejudice to their acquired rights. Coming to the new department, the aim is to develop an integrated legislative framework. This framework would regulate tourism, cultural, and media activities.

What Do Key Objectives Include?

Keeping peace with global trends, while ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards, the aim is to enhance the Emirates’ standing in this sector. The key objectives of the department include building an ecosystem where services introduced are expanded. The aim is to highlight Ajman’s tourism, historical landmarks, and heritage. It also aims to strengthen its presence on the cultural and media map – locally, regionally, and of course, even internationally.

Making Ajman A Global Hub Got Tourism, Media And Culture

With the aim of making Ajman a global hub for tourism, media, and culture, they plan to do so by developing the department headquarters in Ajman. And it will also oversee cultural and artistic development, along with heritage preservation, management of museums, and historical sites will also come under this department. While in the media sector, it will regulate media activity, overseas content, contribute to policy development, issue licenses, and even support media investment.

So with the new law taking effect in 90 days after its issuance, the law will abolish all the previous legislation that relates to the establishment and regulation of the former two departments.
