It was recently revealed that Parkin Company signed up with IACAD or the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. The signing of the agreement is for managing parking spaces around the mosque. This means that now their 2,100 parking spaces, which are around 59 mosques in Dubai, will be managed by this company and parking will be paid!
Parkin To Launch 24-hour Paid Parking At Mosques
Yes, according to the development as revealed by the Dubai Media Office, parking will now be paid for 24 hours. However, there will be free of charge parking for workers for one hour during the prayer time. It is expected that the services around the mosque will begin in August.
For the purpose of paid parking, the parking spaces have been divided into different zones. Zone M is regarded as standard parking, and Zone MP is premium! 41 mosques out of 59 are located in zone M, while 18 are located in zone MP.
Free Parking During Prayer Hours
In fact, outside prayer hours, the parking is chargeable 24 hours a day and throughout the week. However, during the prayer time, visitors will be able to park for free for up to one hour.
It should be noted that with this partnership, Parkin’s total private parking portfolio has now been expanded to 20,800 spaces. With the introduction of this measure, the worshipper’s experience is bound to be enhanced. Not to mention, it is to reduce the misuse of parking space at this point; it should be noted that the initiative can be scaled up to cover additional mosques. However, on the basis of agreed commercial terms, the contract may generate modest profit for parking.
