1. Oman Air To Resume Flights To Khasab
As revealed by Muscat Daily, Oman Air has announced that it will be resuming flights to Khasab. Yes, this will be from April 18th, and the service will restore vital connectivity to Mussandam. Not to mention, it would also support travel and integration across the country for the passengers. This announcement comes after it was also announced that the airline would resume flights to Bahrain from the same date.
2. Saudia Announces Discount On Flights
Saudia, which is the national carrier for Saudi Arabia, has announced a discount of 20% on reward tickets. These are for destinations like Cairo, Shar el-Sheikh, Bangkok, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. However, the reward ticket seats are limited and are subject to availability. Not to mention, the sale period is until May 17th, and the travel period must be between April 17th and May 17th. It should be noted that this offer is only valid on select Saudia flights.
3. Ministry of Hajj & Umrah Informs About Luggage-Free Hajj Service
In its post on X, the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah has announced a luggage-free Hajj service. This would allow them to ship their belongings from the home country to the residence in Makkah. Not to mention, visitors can then have them delivered back to them once the rituals are complete. The service offers total ease and convenience and a smoother experience. However, one must follow the weight limit, keep the shipment details and carry essentials for a seamless service.
4. IACAD Announces Community Contributions Exceed AED5.7 M That Support Mosques
As revealed by UAE Forsan in its X post, IACAD has announced that community contributions through the ‘Neighbourhood Mosques’ initiative have achieved a massive feat. Yes, they have supported the development projects exceeding AED5.7 million for first quarter of 2026. From the installation of new carpets at more than 30 mosques to providing sponsorships and maintaining about 35 mosques, the annual value exceeds AED3.7 million.
5. Replica Of Holy Kaaba Door Displayed At Quran Museum
At the Holy Quran Museum in Mecca, the Replica of the Kaaba door is a top attraction. An example of how creativity and spiritual values come together, this replica features verses from the Quran in Arabic calligraphy. Not to mention, it features Islamic decoration that is rendered in a distinctive artistic style.
6. Over 2,100 Participants Took Part In The 2nd Run And Ride With Police
For the second Run And Ride with Police initiative, more than 2,100 participants took part. These people were from various nationalities, and the event was held at the Dubai Autodrome track in Motor City. 7. Abu Dhabi To Host Run For The Nation
The emirate is getting ready to host Run for the Nation on Saturday, April 18th. This is a free 5km community run, and it starts at Wahat AlKarama at 8 am. As such, it is organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and is in partnership with Zayed Charity Run.

8. Red Sea Film International Film Festival To Return In December
Red Sea Film International Film Festival is going to see its return from December 3rd to 12th, 2026. This is going to be the sixth edition, and it will be taking place at the headquarters of Al Balad. This follows after the 2025 edition marks the fifth year of the festival and runs under the theme of ‘For The Love Of Cinema’.
9. Jeddah Tower Reaches 100th Floor
As revealed on X, two videos have documented how Jeddah Tower has reached the hundredth floor. It shows the progress of the construction and confirms how the tower is continuing to rise steadily with every stage, bringing it closer to the much-awaited historic achievement.
10. Abu Dhabi Announces Partial Road Closure
The Integrated Transport Centre of Abu Dhabi has announced a temporary road closure. This is around Wahat Al Karama for the Run for the Nation 5 km community race. This event is happening on Saturday, April 18th.
