Friday saw the team of Dubai Civil Defence teams containing a warehouse fire in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area in less than an hour, avoiding what would have become a very large incident.
Dubai Firefighters Ras Al Khor Warehouse Blaze Response Time 4 Minutes
A report by the Gulf News revealed that the authorities were alerted to the emergency at 1.23 pm when the first responders were dispatched by fire crews of Nad Al Sheba Fire Station. They reached the place by 1.26 pm, a response time of only four minutes.
Fire Classified As Moderate
Upon the arrival of the firefighters, they discovered a fire in a warehouse, which was later classified as moderate. There was much smoke in the industrial area, but the crews were rushing and at once initiated containment operations.
At 2.28 pm, the field commander confirmed that the fire was under control due to the efforts made by teams. Crews were then commencing the process of cooling down so as to avoid any re-ignition, which is a vital procedure in industrial fires. Why? Because the heat can even remain long after the extinguishment of flames. No injuries reported by the authorities.
Robotic Firefighting Machinery Under Deployment
Dubai Civil Defence has not been using manpower only. The operation involved teams that provided firefighting equipment to enable ground crews, which were robots.
Such machines also assist firefighters in addressing the high-risk sites and minimise direct contact with the heat and smoke. Robotic support contributes to an additional safety layer in warehouse facilities, where the material can ignite quickly, and even the buildings can concentrate the heat, thus causing harm.
Authorities never published information regarding the contents of the warehouse. Nevertheless, industrial premises frequently keep flammable products, equipment, or bulk materials, and they may promote the rapid dispersion of fire in case they are not isolated in time.
Cooling Process In Progress
Following the suppression of the fire, crews performed cooling operations. This period might seem innocent on the surface, but it is essential. The fire might resume in case hotspots are hidden inside the walls, ceilings, or stockpile materials.
A spokesperson of the Dubai Civil Defence insisted that the site will be handed over to the relevant authorities after the cooling process. The handover is conducted in accordance with the acceptable safety measures to make sure that the area is not a cause of any additional risk.
Warehouses, workshops and storage facilities are located in industrial zones like Ras Al Khor. Quick containment ensures that the surrounding businesses are not disrupted and also the safety of the workers in the other units.

Vigorous Response To The Emergency Again
This accident demonstrates the effectiveness of the emergency response system in Dubai. A four-minute arrival time, containment within an hour and zero casualties reported.
The authorities have not yet announced the cause of the blaze. The investigations are usually conducted after the site has been declared completely safe.
