Dubai’s teenagers have been waiting for this moment. Let’s face it, if you’re between 15 and 18 in the city, your Saturday nights probably look the same: endless laps around malls, overpriced cinema tickets, or yet another food court session with friends. Too old for trampoline parks, too young for clubs, and frankly, bored with the same routine. Well, that’s about to change. The Base has landed, and it’s rewriting what teen hangout & nightlife in Dubai looks like.
The Base, Dubai’s First Teen-Only Hangout, Is Finally Here

Truth be told, Dubai is full of cool hangouts if you’re over 21. Teens? Not so much. That’s why The Base feels like such a clever idea. No parents lurking. No awkward “family-friendly” zones trying to double up as teen hangouts. Just music, games, food, and a sense of freedom.
The vibe is high energy but safe. It’s teen-only, supervised, and carefully designed for independence without the chaos. Founder Lorna Bancroft sums it up best: “The Base gives them a space to be with their mates, have fun, and feel that sense of independence they crave.” And come on, we all know that craving is real.
What’s On the Line-Up?
- Live DJ sets & karaoke booth – because no night out is complete without belting out a badly timed song.
- Arcade games, pool & foosball tables – competitive streaks welcome.
- Unlimited snacks & soft drinks – yes, unlimited. Enough said.
- Mocktail-making bar – for once, a bar experience teens can enjoy.
- Selfie booth & chill-out zones – because memories need proof.
- Supervised, safe environment – teens can relax, parents can breathe.
In practice, it feels like a mash-up of a club, an arcade, and a festival, minus the stuff teens shouldn’t be around.
When Does It Launch?
Mark the date. Saturday, 27 September 2025, from 7–10 pm, at UBK, JLT Cluster A. That’s the big debut, and tickets are already generating buzz. Launch night tickets are AED 149 (pre-book only), not bad when you factor in unlimited snacks, entertainment, and bragging rights for being at the first one.
If you miss the launch, don’t stress. The Base will become a monthly tradition, happening every last Saturday of the month. Tickets go for AED 179 (pre-book) or AED 199 (walk-ins). Truth be told, the pre-book price is a no-brainer.
