Dubai Launches ‘Cycling Pass’ To Explore The City On Two Wheels

Dubai has always promoted fitness, be it through the 30X30 challenge or by organising Tough Mudder. And now it’s taken a notch up by launching a cool initiative for the cycling enthusiast. Say hello to Dubai Cycling Pass, a new initiative that turns cycling into a city-wide experience rather than just a weekend activity.

Dubai Cycling Pass Launches With A Clear Message

As mentioned in a report by Gulf News, GDRFA, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and the Dubai Sports Council have collaborated to launch the initiative. The pass links health, tourism, and digital innovation under one smart idea. “From the Airport to the Track” is the slogan they swear by.

It’s not about cycling experts enjoying the ride, but for it to become a common part of daily life. According to a report by Gulf News, the initiative aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for wellbeing, while providing residents and visitors with a new way to experience the city.

Launched On Track, Backed By The City’s Top Leadership

The initiative officially kicked off at the Nad Al Sheba Cycling Track. Under the leadership of Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the launch was held alongside senior government officials and community leaders.

The turnout attracted citizens, residents, tourists and hardcore cyclists. It proves the idea resonates beyond a specific group of people.

Nine Cycling Tracks, One City-Wide Journey

The Dubai Cycling Pass connects riders to 9 approved cycling tracks across the emirate. Each route is suitable for a different mood and skill level.

There is Nad Al Sheba–Meydan for structured rides, Jumeirah Corniche for sea views, Al Qudra–Saih Al Salam for long, open-road escapes, Dubai Marina and Dubai Water Canal for urban energy. Mushrif Park and Al Khawaneej offer green space, whereas Hatta Mountain Bike Track gives way to mountains.

It’s safe for families and offers professionals the push to explore something new.

A Digital Passport That Rewards Consistency

Participants use a digital cycling passport to collect virtual stamps after completing each track. Basically, you finish a route and earn a stamp. Professional cyclists can also use a physical passport with official stamps and symbolic rewards for top participation. This produces a recurring crowd.

The initiative will roll out in phases, with each stage spotlighting one track at a time. Expect group rides, community events, and social buzz.
