Dubai Police recently called on motorists to be careful while driving outside. Yes, they’ve been asked to exercise caution during rainfall. Not to mention, they’ve also been asked to follow the traffic law and all the preventive safety measures strictly. However, they have also confirmed that they are fully prepared to handle any emergency condition that may arise due to the weather conditions.
Dubai Police Urges People To Follow Strict Rules
The NCM has predicted that scattered rainfall may occur across the UAE until Monday, April 13th. So, drivers have been advised by the Dubai Police to reduce speed and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles. Not to mention, they’ve been asked to remain fully focused while they are on the road so that they can avoid any form of distraction. Additionally, motorists and residents had also been warned to steer clear of water flows. Not to mention, they will also be asked to refrain from crossing valleys so that risk can be minimised while ensuring public safety.
Motorists Urged To Be Safe
As revealed on X by Dubai Police, people have also been urged to check weather updates from official sources only. Not to mention, they were also asked to avoid going to the seas and beaches. As it happens, motorists have also been urged to avoid any sudden braking and to exercise extra caution when they approach curves. Finally, they have also given a non-emergency number of 901 and an emergency number of 999 for people so that they can contact them in case they need any assistance.

What Has The NCM Predicted About the Weather?
By this point, it’s worth mentioning that after the warning by the NCM, rain along with thunder and lightning was reported overnight in several parts of the UAE. This happened due to the unsettled weather conditions that continue across the country. These conditions are expected to persist and remain unsteady. It is expected that the unstable weather may continue on Friday, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and continued chances of rain in scattered areas.
So, it is important that people exercise all the necessary precautions while stepping outside during the unstable weather.
