Dubai Municipality has opened this dedicated pet shelter at the Birds And Pets Market in Warsan Area. Aiming to improve animal welfare efforts, it encourages adoption and addresses high rates of abandonment. The animal welfare shelter is a high-tech haven for strays that offers a safe environment. This includes facilities for both cats and dogs that would allow them to reunite lost pets and their owners and even help them find new homes.

It should be noted that the specific facility would establish a collaborative framework for the treatment of strays suffering from injuries or serious illness. It would also promote public awareness programmes on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
