Dubai Fitness Challenge is a month-long event that motivates residents and citizens of Dubai to contribute 30 minutes daily for 30 days towards physical activity. And as a part of this challenge, Dubai Run, which is one of the most anticipated business events, is returning for its seventh edition. Yes, Dubai Run is returning on November 23rd for its seventh edition, and here’s all you need to know about this upcoming run.
Dubai Run Returns On November 23rd
Taking over the Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Run is making a comeback on November 23rd, which is on Sunday. As it happens, this is a part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which is a month-long sports event, giving runners a chance to pass through the iconic landmarks on the Sheikh Zayed Road. These include the Museum of Future, Emirates Towers, Burj Khalifa, and even Dubai Opera. As it happens, the lively atmosphere at the run makes it a fun-filled activity, one that no sports enthusiast would want to miss.
Two Routes Available For Runners
Talking about the event, this run starts at 6:30 AM and it brings family, friends, and the wider community together, as mentioned in a report by the Gulf News. Available in two categories, there are a 10 km route and 5 km route.
- The 10 km route starts at the Museum of Future and finishes at The Gate Building, DIFC. This route is perfect for those who are experienced runners.
- The 5 km route is a flat and family-friendly one, which is perfect for people of all ages. This route starts at the same point. However, it finishes on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, which is near Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.
As it happens, Dubai Run is open to everyone, whether they are serious runners, are just a part of a family jogging or like to walk together. People of Determination are also welcome for the event, with their dedicated POD start zones and volunteer support available. The support is available at the start and the finish line.
What About Registration?
Coming to the registration, this opens soon on the official website of Dubai Run. It’s worth noting that participants will get bibs and official t-shirts. This can be collected from November 3rd – 22nd at the Dubai Municipality 30 X 30 Fitness Village Jubilee Park. However, all participants must register in advance and collect their official giveaways before the event begins. Additonally, the T-shirts are allocated according to registration eligibility.
It is, however, advised that participants disembark at World Trade Centre Metro Station if they are participating in the 5 km start line, while for the 10 km start line, participants must disembark at Emirates Tower Metro Station.
