If you planned to spend New Year’s Eve by the beach in Dubai tradition, then this news is for you. Authorities in Dubai have announced they will reserve the four most popular public beaches exclusively for families during the New Year holidays 2026. The move aims to keep things safe, organised, and comfortable for NYE in Dubai.

A New Year’s Rule Families Should Know About

Dubai Municipality confirmed that the family-only policy will run from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026. The rule applies to both residents and tourists planning to ring in the New Year along the shore as per the Travels Dubai.

Which Dubai Beaches Will Be Family-Only For New Year 2026

The rule covers four well-loved beach spots that usually draw large crowds on public holidays.

  • Jumeirah Beach 2
  • Jumeirah Beach 3
  • Umm Suqeim Beach 1
  • Umm Suqeim Beach

During this two-day window, access to these beaches will remain strictly limited to families. Authorities have already advised visitors to arrive early as the city expects high footfall.

Why Dubai Is Taking This Step

New Year’s Eve in Dubai kicks off with fireworks, long weekends, school holidays, and winter weather all at once. That combination suffocates public spaces, especially beaches with a lot of people.

Dubai aims to reduce overcrowding and unnecessary safety risks by designating these beaches. Parents and children can enjoy the beach minus the packed zones or rowdy crowds.

Officials say the move also helps improve crowd flow across the city, spreading visitors more evenly instead of channelling everyone into the same hotspots.

What Families Can Expect On The Ground

Families will get uninterrupted access to beach facilities across both days with easier entry, calmer surroundings, and better use of amenities like restrooms, walkways, and picnic areas.

Expect entry controls and safety guidelines across these spots. Visitors should follow instructions to avoid delays or fines.

These regulations for NYE 2026 will help kids and the elderly in Dubai enjoy without interruption. So get ready to celebrate the New Year 2026 in Dubai with safety and privacy.
