The meeting was dedicated to the spirit of Ramadan, and the conversations were centred on compassion, unity and the need to have strong family and community bonds.

Sheikh Hamdan greeted and made prayers towards the future security, stability and prosperity of the UAE. He also took a look back at the consistent development of the country in all areas, and he commended the citizens for having made a visionary nation that takes opportunity, well-being, and collective responsibility.

2. Six Senses The Palm Dubai Palm Opens 2026 Reservations

Six Senses Hotels and Resorts has already started receiving the reservations for Six Senses the Palm Dubai that will start receiving guests on September 1, 2026. It is the brand’s inaugural project in the UAE and a wellness-based and sustainability-driven all-suite beachfront.
The resort has 61 suites and 172 branded residences overlooking the skyline, Arabian Gulf and Palm Jumeirah of Dubai.

3. Lower Temperatures To Be Witnessed in the Early Mornings In Qatar

The Department of Meteorology predicts that the weather on the shore up until 6 am Saturday will be relatively cold with some risk of cloud cover and haze or mist later. Offshore regions are partly cloudy.
The inshore winds will be of a south east direction, ranging between 4-14 knots, whereas the offshore winds will remain light and variable at 3-13 knots. The sea is calm, with waves of about 3 feet along the coast and 2 to 4 feet out in the water. The visibility is between 4-9 kilometres inshore and is a bit better out on the water.

The increased tension between the US and Iran in 2026 is affecting tourism in the regions of the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Turkiye, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, and Lebanon are some of the countries that are reporting travel disruptions associated with airspace closures and increased security concerns. Key destinations like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, and Istanbul have been cancelled and have had fewer visitors, with travellers reevaluating their plans in the changing regional conditions.

5. Denny At Sheikh Zayed Road Closes In February 2026

Denny announced the permanent closure of Sheikh Zayed on February 26, 2026, after years of service to the community. The staff appreciated customers who have attended the branch as a part of their day-to-day life, including early breakfast and late dinners. Denny will remain in operation in the UAE, serving its customers at the Deira City Centre and the Abu Dhabi Mall.
