All over the Gulf, some of the most important updates are defining everyday life, travel and business. This is a closer examination of the recent updates from the GCC region.

5 GCC Updates For You

1. Dubai Airports Are Slowly Restarting Flights

In Dubai, the flights have started to take place on a partial scale in both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport as officials strive to normalise the travelling time.

As Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths notes, the airport teams and partner agencies are on the ground constantly overseeing the operations at the airport. The priorities have been identified: assist the frontline personnel and re-establish services in a safe manner.

Nevertheless, passengers must not rush to the airport unless the airline gives them an exact time of departure. The regional airspace closures have continued to halt many regular flights.

2. Kuwait Bans Food Exports To Save The Local Supply

Kuwait has come up with a temporary restriction on exporting food items through land, sea and air ports. The ruling is based on the Ministry’s Decision No. 20 of 2026 by the Kuwait Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The government believes that the action will safeguard the national food stocks and stabilise the local market amidst the current tensions in the region.

General Administration of Customs has already asked frontline officials to apply the rule in letter.

All ports have customs teams that are also working 24 hours a round clock inspection systems. Radiation surveillance devices keep on scanning packages, cars and goods in and out of the nation. The authorities assured that all measurements are within an acceptable range and no unusual activity has been identified yet.

3. Lara Dutta Shares Dubai Experience

Recently, actor Lara Dutta has posted on Instagram that she is in Dubai with her daughter Saira as her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, is away on business.

Dutta posted a video update on social media, saying that the last few days were tense because of the events in the region.

As she shot the video, she could hear loud explosions and the interception of missiles. There were also fighter jets flying overhead a number of times. The explosions shook the doors and windows of her villa. Nevertheless, the noise did not make Dutta feel unsafe, as she has never felt that in Dubai and is still calm when taking care of her daughter.

Her message to the fans gave them the assurance that, despite what is being experienced in the region, life is still going on in Dubai.

4. City Centre Bahrain Resumes Normal Schedules

CITY Centre Bahrain has gone back to business as usual in terms of shopping.
