1. RAK Launches Landmark Wastewater Project

Ras Al Khaimah has unveiled its largest wastewater infrastructure project to date. According to Gulf Today It has signed a long-term sewage treatment agreement with a consortium led by EtihadWE, TAQA Water Solutions and Saur International. The new wastewater treatment plant will handle 60,000 cubic metres per day and serve up to 300,000 people once completed. 

2. Sharjah Ruler Honoured With Portugal’s Highest Cultural Award

HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, received the Grand Collar of the Order of Camões in Lisbon as per Gulf News. He became the first Arab leader and only the sixth person globally to receive Portugal’s highest sovereign cultural honour in a landmark moment for UAE–Portugal relations. The award was presented by President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, which recognises Sheikh Sultan’s lasting contribution to culture and cross-cultural dialogue.

3 Shah Rukh Khan Crowned Global Style Icon In Dubai

Shah Rukh Khan added another global honour to his name recently. He received the Global Style Icon Award in Dubai. The Bollywood star was celebrated at the inaugural Dubai Mall Global Fashion Awards, held at the Armani Hotel Dubai. It marks the finale of the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion. The award was presented by Emaar founder Mohamed Alabbar to King Khan to appreciate his lasting influence on style and pop culture as per Gulf News.

4. adidas Is Fueling Dubai Marathon Runners With Pasta

As the Dubai Marathon weekend approaches, adidas is leaning into a time-tested runner tradition: carb-loading. The sportswear brand has teamed up with local Italian pastificio Sagra to create Adizero Pasta. It’s a limited-edition ravioli inspired by its Adizero EVO SL racing shoe. As per Gulf Today it is available for one day only on January 31 at the Adizero House of Fast at Kite Beach. Also, it’s a complimentary dish for registered marathon runners.

5. Honey Singh Postpones Dubai Concert To October 2026

Honey Singh has announced that his February 6 concert in Dubai has been postponed. Sharing an update on Instagram, the rapper said the Coca-Cola Arena show has been pushed to October 2026 due to technical reasons. He assured fans that a new date will be announced soon and asked everyone to stay tuned.

6. Burj Khalifa Lights Up In Kuwaiti Flag Colours

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was illuminated in the colours of the Kuwaiti flag to celebrate 60 years of ties between the UAE and Kuwait. Called the  ‘Brothers Forever Week’, the tribute marked six decades of strong diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations. Shared by Kuwait Inside, the gesture symbolised unity, friendship and the deep-rooted bond.
