Fujairah Police has warned parents and motorists against leaving their children unattended inside vehicles, even if it is just for a brief period. Residents Cautioned Against Leaving Children Inside Vehicles

The General Command of Fujairah Police recently posted on X, stressing how the temperature inside the vehicles can increase within minutes. As a result, it can potentially create fatal conditions for children, especially during the hot months of the year. So, residents have been warned against leaving their children unattended, even for a brief period, inside the car.

UAE Is Entering Pre-Summer Period

It should be noted that this warning comes at a time when the UAE is entering the pre-summer period. Yes, as announced by the Emirates Astronomical Society on June 1st, it marks the beginning of the summer season according to the climatic calendar. And it should be noted that it will run until the end of June.

Temperatures May Continue To Soar

As revealed by the Gulf News in its report, the society mentions how the daytime temperatures during the season is expected to range between 41°C and 43°C. In fact, the minimum temperatures are also forecast to range between 27°C and 30°C. It is also warned that countries can expect heat waves, which can push temperatures higher for consecutive days.

So, authorities have warned repeatedly, cautioning people against leaving their children unattended as they’re especially vulnerable to heat-related illness. Moreover, since temperatures can rise rapidly inside cars, they tend to get significantly higher than the outdoor temperature.

If you are going out to run an errand with your little one, make sure to take them along instead of leaving them locked inside a parked car.
