As it happens, applications that are submitted on the official portal or beyond the deadline will not be considered for the pilgrimage. In fact, this move has been designed in such a way that it ensures transparency and fairness for the applicants. The ministry also emphasised the fact that just because an individual registers online, it does not guarantee them a place. As such, the selection is automatically on the basis of Oman’s quota from the Saudi authorities. Successful applicants will be notified through a text message.
The detailed schedule for the Hajj 2026 season will be revealed soon. This includes the final entry for pilgrims who are travelling by land and air. As it happens, authorities have also reiterated how they are committed towards streamlining procedures so that there is no unauthorised interference by service providers.
So, if you are someone who has plans to perform Hajj for this season, make sure to keep this development in mind. While you’re at it, don’t forget to put in the correct details, as inaccurate details can result in disqualification and slots being cancelled.
