As revealed by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, September 5, Friday will be declared a public holiday. This is for federal government employees, and on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. This means public employees will enjoy an extended three-day weekend. Aligning perfectly with Saturday and Sunday, with Friday off, they can take a road trip to enjoy the long weekend, if that’s what they wish to do.
Long Weekend Ahead
Not just the public sector, but the private sector will also enjoy the long weekend. As announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, this will be a paid public holiday for private sector employees as well. This means that whether you work in the public sector or the private sector, you get to enjoy a long weekend to commemorate this important day.
