Kuwait Activates New Early Warning Systems To Mobile Phones & Here’s What You Need To Know

On Thursday, March 26th, Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced the activation of the early warning system. These have been activated on smart devices for sending alert messages in case of emergencies. As mentioned in the statement, the ministry mentioned how the alerts are on the basis of precise field assessment. Here’s all you need to know about the new early warning system.

Kuwait Activates Early Warning System

As announced by Kuwait’s Internal Ministry, it has activated the new early warning system on smart devices. On the basis of precise assessment and security indicators, it is continuously monitored by relevant authorities. As mentioned by Kuwait Times, People have been asked to treat these alerts seriously and to follow the instructions that have been provided for safety.

A Preventive Action To Alert Individuals


Through the system, there is swift preventive action that calls on individuals to move to safe locations when they receive the alert. Not to mention, it asks them to stay away from windows and open areas. Furthermore, the ministry has asked the public not to leave their homes out of curiosity to observe or to film the incident sites. They’ve been warned of potential dangers and legal consequence not to mention, public awareness and compliance with official guidance have been stressed upon, which are essential towards maintaining safety.

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry Earlier Announced The Pilot Launch

This comes after Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior had just recently announced the pilot launch of the national emergency alert system. This has been done using cellular broadcasting technology, and the initiative was taken through the General Directorate of Civil Defence. This is in cooperation with the public authority for communication and information technology. As announced during the media briefing, the system has been designed to deliver immediate, secure and reliable alerts to mobile users, in case there is some kind of emergency.

Although the users can manage settings on the device, the highest-level alerts will not be disabled, as revealed in a report of an Indian daily, the Times of India.
