Long Weekend Ahead! Oman Announces A 2-Day National Holiday For Public And Private Sectors

As Oman celebrates its National Day in November, it has announced official holidays for both public and private sector employees. This was mentioned by the Oman News Agency on Sunday, November 9th, and it further revealed how the holidays would fall on November 26th and 27th, which are Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

Oman Declares Two-Day Holiday For National Day

As revealed in the report, Oman has declared official holidays for both the public and private sectors. Yes, the work across all sectors is expected to resume on November 30th, which is a Sunday. For the first time, the National Holiday will be observed in the Sultanate for two days. This follows a royal decree, which was issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. And it mentioned how Oman would celebrate the National Day for two days on November 20th and 21st every year. It should be noted that previously, this was held on November 18th, and the change has been made to extend the celebrations to honour the historic independence of Oman.

Residents Can Place Approved Stickers On Their Vehicles

As a result, the Royal Oman Police has issued guidelines for displaying stickers on vehicles. This was mentioned in a report by the Gulf News, which revealed that this year, residents can place approved stickers on their vehicles until November 30th, 2025. However, the ROP has emphasised some guidelines for this purpose.

ROP Guidelines For Stickers

These guidelines are as follows:

  • The vehicle colour and shape cannot be altered.
  • The stickers used must comply with the traffic safety rules.
  • Any kind of depiction of the crown and Khanjar emblem on the stickers is prohibited.
  • The images used on the stickers must be appropriate, relevant, and securely fixed.
  • Stickers can only be placed on the rear window, and they must not be placed on the front or side windows. Additionally, the driver’s view should remain unobstructed.
  • One cannot attach fabric or decorations to the hood of the car, as it is not allowed.
