It is a dream to have a caravan camping in Dubai. The sea breeze splashes across your face with no hotel check-out stress. However, before you hitch up and drive away, one thing you need to get straightened out is a free caravan camping permit to Jebel Ali Beach.
Dubai Free Caravan Camping Permit: Step-by-Step Guide
The good news? It is free and can be done within minutes. Also, there is no need to chase approvals at offices. A report by the Gulf News indicates that Dubai has completely digitalised the process through DubaiNow, the official app of service to the people. Already have the UAE Pass? You are halfway there.
Who May Apply And At What It Cost
This license does not restrict citizens only. Any UAE nationals and expatriates may apply, provided they are planning to camp at the Jebel Ali Beach using either a caravan, a trailer or a camping van.
The cost? Zero dirhams with no hidden fees or processing charges is dedicated to beach camping.
Pre-Application Requirement
Until you have these things ready, don’t open the app.
You’ll need:
1. A certified copy of a vehicle registration.
2. A clear picture of your caravan, van or trailer.
3. Car specifications such as plate number, source and code.
4. Registration expiry date
With UAE Pass, your name, email, and mobile number are automatically filled in upon login, which means you do not have to type marathons to do it.
Application Instructions The DubaiNow App
The application resides in the DubaiNow application.
Here’s how it goes:
1. Install the DubaiNow and log in with your UAE Pass.
2. Open Services
3. Tap Recreational Services
4. Select the Caravan camping permit.
5. Enter your vehicle details
6. Choose your camping dates
7. Add the vehicle picture and registration.
8. Check it all over and put it in.
Permit Reapplication And Permit Validity
People underrate the importance of this part.
1. The permit is only valid for 30 days.
2. The same caravan may be reapplied for after 15 days of the previous permit.
3. An attempt to overlap permits will not work. The system blocks it.

Rules You Should Not Ignore
Dubai Municipality states that access can be refused in case:
1. The car does not conform to the permit numbers.
2. Permit terms get violated
3. The date chosen reaches full capacity.
In case a date is booked, it simply will not show up. Pick another one and move on. This system ensures a well-organised and safe camping, yet precision is key. Read twice, and also before submitting.
