Qatar National Day 2025: Interior Ministry Sets Rules For Decorating Vehicles

Qatar National Day brings out flags, stickers, and a strong sense of pride this year. Cars rolling through streets draped in maroon and white become an important part of the national day parade. Hence, the Ministry of Interior has announced firm rules to keep roads safe and traffic flowing. This time, the car decorating guidelines apply across the country from December 14 to December 20, 2025.

Qatar National Day 2025 Decoration Period And What Drivers Can Do

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that vehicle decorations are permitted only during the approved National Day window. Post that, vehicles may face hefty fines.

So make sure you show your patriotism by decorating your cars only during the allowed period using flags and approved accessories. However, the focus remains on visibility, safety, and clear vehicle identification at all times.

Window Rules Are Non-Negotiable During The Celebration Window

One rule stands above the rest. Tinted or coloured windows are not allowed during the decoration period of Qatar National Day 2025

This applies to the front windshield, rear windshield, and the front side windows on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides. Clear visibility is always essential, especially during busy celebration days when traffic and pedestrians fill public areas. If your car already has illegal tinting, it’s time you took it down immediately.

Your Car’s Original Colour Must Stay

Festive wraps may look impressive, but changing a vehicle’s base colour by repainting their vehicle or altering the original colour registered with authorities is strictly prohibited.

Licence Plates And Stickers Must Stay Visible

Decorations must never block or hide licence plates. Both front and rear plates need to remain fully visible and readable at all times, as mentioned in a report by The Times of India.

Finally, the Ministry has also unveiled some rules around the use of stickers that allow only messages related directly to Qatar National Day. Avoid promoting any political messages, advertisements, or unrelated slogans during the celebrations.

Celebrate With Pride, Drive With Care

The Ministry of Interior has made it clear that these rules are mandatory, not suggestions. Drivers who fail to comply may face fines or other legal action.
