Ras Al Khaimah Police Reveals Guidelines For People
In a bid to make people aware, Ras Al Khaimah Police has outlined guidelines when it comes to safeguarding public safety. It also aims to maintain order during the rainy conditions. Authorities have stressed the fact that photographing or sharing images of vital locations is strictly prohibited. These have been described as sensitive areas, and so doing so has been completely prohibited. Not to mention, people have also been asked to refrain from sharing or posting unverified and misleading content. This could include all videos which are circulating as current events.
What Are These Guidelines?
The police have outlined key guidelines when it comes to safeguarding public safety and maintaining order during rainy conditions. These are as follows:
- Do not share images or photograph vital dam locations.
- Support the positive image of the country online.
- Be responsible about what you post or share online.
- Avoid posting images of water accumulation and instead report them to authorities.
People have been asked to call the police on 999 in case of emergencies and 901 in case of non-emergency cases. They’ve been asked to rely on the official channels when it comes to verified updates. As it happens, they’ve been asked to report such an incident directly to the authority so that swift action can be taken.
People Asked To Take Preventive Measures
Not only this, due to the heavy rainfall that was witnessed the previous week, there has been an accumulation of water across the UAE. So, authorities have asked people to take preventive measures in order to limit mosquito breeding. Residents have been asked to adopt simple preventive steps such as emptying containers which are holding stagnant water, cleaning areas where rainwater has collected, maintaining drainage systems, disposing waste properly and regularly trimming grass and vegetation.
The ministry also highlights how it is important to use appropriate methods when controlling mosquito larvae and adults. It is important that one plants vegetation that is known for repelling mosquitoes to reduce their speed. Not only this, but the authorities are also implementing steps to monitor and eliminate breeding sites. This includes pesticides, spraying, draining, stagnant water, public awareness, campaigns, and coordinating with local authorities, so that fogging operations can be carried out.
