Yes, as the clock ticked down to 12 AM, the emirate of Dubai welcomed the new year with a spectacular 15-minute show. Yes, setting a new Guinness World Record title for the largest aerial display of Phoenix that has been formed by multirotor drones, here’s all you need to know about this incredible achievement.
Ras Al Khaimah Sets New Guinness World Record
With 2,300 drones forming a spectacular phoenix formation, the creation was truly a mesmerising sight in the sky. Yes, featuring a large-scale drone performance, which transformed the night sky into a series of animated formations, this highlight saw the mythical symbol of renewal and rebirth, leaving people awestruck. The mythical symbol of renewal and rebirth was created with 2,300 drones, among them. There were 1,000 pyro drones that lit up the wings of the phoenix. Yes, creating the effect of flames as its sword across the sky, this incredible sight left people in awe of the spectacle.

Not only this, but the drone show later gave way to the precisely timed firework countdown. This illuminated the 6 km long firework display as it stretched along the coastline from Marjan Island to Al Hamra. As such, 100s of fireworks were launched in a synchronised wave that lit up the shoreline in the choreographed display of colours and sound. Moreover, thousands of residents and visitors had gathered across the beachfront resorts and at the New Year’s Eve festival to watch the celebrations. Complete with live stage performances and entertainment throughout the night, families truly loved the additional fireworks display that took place at the Corniche Al Qawasim.

RAK Has Won Previous Records!
While achieving this Guinness World Record was truly incredible, it must be said that people who attended and were present for the spectacular event were left in awe. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that for the past seven years, Ras Al Khaimah has secured about 13 Guinness World Record titles. During the previous New Year celebrations, it added two more records, which were set through a large drone and fireworks display.
