1. SalamAir Announces Direct Flights From Salalah To Jeddah, Chattogram & Calicut
SalamAir, which is a low-cost airline in Oman, has announced its first-ever airline base. This marks a strategic milestone in the growth of the airline. The Salalah-based operation will serve three direct international destinations, including Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Calicut in India and Chattogram in Bangladesh

As revealed by the Dubai Media Office, Dubai International Airport welcomed 31.5 million passengers during the first six months of 2026. These are massive figures amid the recovery of airline operational capacity and rising demand, which comes in the second quarter.
3. Egypt To Witness Partial Lunar Eclipse
Egypt is going to witness a partial lunar eclipse on Friday, August 28th. With the Earth’s shadow covering about 93% of the moon, this eclipse will coincide with the full moon of the Islamic month of Rabi Al Awwal. As it happens, it will last about five hours across all its phases. The partial phase ends at 8:52 AM while the entire eclipse will conclude at 10:02 AM.
