As revealed by the Gulf News, the plan for this was discussed at a meeting of the High Supervisory Committee. The national initiative aims to chronicle centuries of pilgrimage history. Not to mention, it also aims to shine a light on the transformation in the services of Islam’s holy sites. This museum will serve as a comprehensive knowledge reference.

A place that would document the history of the two holy mosques and rituals of Hajj and Umrah for centuries, it’s truly a big step. It should be noted that this idea was originally conceived as an academic encyclopedia. However, it was later evolved into a pioneering national project that was in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
