Saudi Arabia has begun issuing Umrah visas for the new Umrah season. Yes, they began issuing the new visas on Sunday, May 31st. This marks the start of the preparation for the 1448 AH Season. It follows after Hajj was successfully concluded this year. As revealed by the Ministry of Haji Umrah, the visa issuance has begun and here’s all you want to know about this development.
Ministry Of Hajj & Umrah Starts Issuing Umrah Visa
The Ministry of Hajj & Umrah has also mentioned how the arrival of international pilgrims has commenced. Yes, and visa issuance has also begun on May 31st. It should be noted that this will run until March 23rd, 2027. In fact, pilgrims will be permitted to enter and obtain their permits. This can be done through the government’s Nusuk application. As it happens, the platform serves as the unified digital gateway for permits, pilgrim services and bookings.
Until When Will Umrah Visas Be Issued?
According to the ministry, March 9th, 2027 would possibly correspond to Shawwal 1, 1448 AH. And this will be the final date for issuing the Umrah visa. As it happens, the last date for pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia will be March 23rd, 2027. In fact, all the Umrah pilgrims will then have to depart from the Kingdom by April 7th, 2027.
Umrah Visa Through Nusuk Platform
It should be noted that the Kingdom has also accelerated the digital transformation of Umrah services in recent years, and it would be done through the Nusuk platform. As it happens, electronic permits, automated contracting procedures and a QR code verification system have also been introduced on the platform. In fact, the kingdom is also expanding its transport and hospitality infrastructure. It is all being done as a part of its effort to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims by 2030.
