If you happen to be someone who loves non-vegetarian food, then chances are, you are always on the prowl for juicy cuts of meat. However, if you are someone living in Saudi Arabia, you will want to know that the production lines at five factories have been shut down. These factories for meat and poultry products were ordered to shut their production line after there were cases of non-compliance with public health regulations that were detected.
Production Lines Of Five Factories Closed In Saudi Arabia
As revealed in a report by the Khaleej Times, there were cases of non-compliance with public health that were detected at five factories in Saudi Arabia. As a result, their production lines have been shut down by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. These inspections, which were conducted by the authority, showcase how the products had exceeded the microbial limits for E.Coli and Salmonella.
A Serious Food-Related Violation
As a result, the violations are considered to be serious, which can cause significant harm to the consumer and even risk public health. Since both bacteria can cause major food poisoning, it clearly breaches food-related laws and regulations by the SFDA. Although no further details have been revealed about the factories, the authority did confirm that it has taken all the legal measures against those who are violating the food law. Penalties can include jail for 10 years, a fine of up to 10 million Saudi Riyal or even both. As it happens, the authority has zero tolerance when it comes to food violations.

Residents Advised Against Consuming Altarouti brand Chicken Frankfurt
It was just earlier this month when authorities advised residents not to consume Altarouti brand Chicken Frankfurt. The advice came after tests confirmed that these products had been contaminated by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. These bacteria can pose a serious threat to health! The product was also withdrawn from the market, and the factory’s production line was halted.
With the authorities always conducting inspections to ensure that only top-quality products are sent to the market, one feels safe in consuming packaged products. Especially knowing that public health is being taken quite seriously.
